1. Provider

CarbVoice is developed, owned and operated by The Nordic Craftsman, a business established in Sweden.

Business information

The Nordic Craftsman is the data controller for personal information processed in connection with CarbVoice.

CarbVoice provides digital food analysis, carbohydrate calculations, nutritional information, recipes and personal food-tracking tools.

By creating an account or subscribing to CarbVoice, you agree to the applicable Terms of Service. Personal data is handled as described in this Privacy Policy and in accordance with applicable legislation.

5. Administration and support

Accounts and subscriptions

CarbVoice offers paid subscriptions with the following standard prices:

New eligible users receive a 3-day free trial.

After the free trial ends, the selected subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial expires.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the applicable renewal deadline.

Prices may be displayed and charged in local currencies according to the user's app-store region. Applicable taxes, regional pricing and the final amount are shown during checkout.

Cancellation and renewal

Subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store must be managed or cancelled through Apple.

Subscriptions purchased through Google Play must be managed or cancelled through Google Play.

Users should cancel before the end of their current subscription or trial period, following the relevant app store's cancellation deadlines. For Apple subscriptions, cancellation at least 24 hours before the end of a trial or renewal is recommended.

Cancelling a paid subscription normally prevents the next automatic renewal. Access generally continues until the end of the current paid billing period.

Deleting CarbVoice or deleting an account does not automatically cancel an active app-store subscription.

Refunds are handled according to applicable app-store procedures and mandatory consumer protection laws.

Trial eligibility, regional prices and final billing conditions are confirmed in the purchase interface before subscription activation.

Application availability

We work to maintain a reliable and accessible service, but continuous availability cannot be guaranteed.

Maintenance, software updates, connectivity problems and external service interruptions may temporarily affect functionality.

Acceptable use and intellectual property

Users must not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the application, abuse its systems or use CarbVoice for unlawful activities.

The CarbVoice name, software, original design, branding and proprietary content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users retain applicable rights to their own submitted content and permit the processing necessary to provide the features they request.

7. Sources and responsibility

Nutritional information sources

CarbVoice uses recognised nutritional information sources, available product data, calculation methods and artificial intelligence.

Sources may include:

Where supported, CarbVoice identifies the nutritional information source for individual ingredients and entries.

Information calculated or estimated using artificial intelligence is identified within the application.

Accuracy and limitations

We aim to provide useful, reliable and transparent nutritional estimates.

However, food products and recipes vary, nutritional databases may contain incomplete information, and AI-generated interpretations may be inaccurate.

Users should verify nutritional information whenever precision is important.

User responsibility

CarbVoice is intended for informational and personal food-tracking purposes.

Users remain responsible for checking information and deciding whether it is appropriate for their individual circumstances.

CarbVoice must not be relied upon as the sole source for medical or medication-related decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Nordic Craftsman is not responsible for losses resulting from inaccurate nutritional estimates, incorrect portion information, misuse of the application or inappropriate reliance on CarbVoice for medical treatment decisions.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or affects mandatory consumer or data protection rights.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections applicable in the user's country of residence.

Disputes are handled in accordance with applicable legislation and relevant consumer protection requirements.

8. Optional contributions to the central recipe library

CarbVoice maintains a separate central recipe library to reduce unnecessary AI generation and improve the quality and variety of future recipes. Saving, favouriting or sharing a recipe by link does not submit it to this library. Only when the app offers an explicit, separate contribution action and the user chooses to submit the recipe will CarbVoice consider it for inclusion.

The recipe is reviewed for suitability, quality, source information and potentially identifying content. Contributions are pending until approved. The central library should contain standardised food ingredients, quantities, preparation instructions and nutritional estimates, not account IDs, private diary entries, medical information, personal notes or the identity of contributors. Automated filtering cannot guarantee perfect anonymisation, so additional review is required before approval.

You retain any intellectual-property rights you have in an original recipe. By deliberately submitting a recipe, you grant The Nordic Craftsman a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce, standardise, adapt and distribute the approved non-personal recipe content inside CarbVoice, including recommendations to other users. This licence survives account deletion for content that has been lawfully included in the library and genuinely anonymised. You may choose not to contribute and still use the normal recipe features.

A recipe's removal of user identifiers alone does not guarantee anonymity. Where a contribution cannot safely be anonymised, it must not be incorporated into the shared library. Account deletion removes the user's personal collections and attributable submissions, subject to legal retention exceptions; genuinely anonymous recipe knowledge may remain. A request to withdraw a contribution before anonymisation or approval can be sent to support@carbvoice.com.

The central recipe library is a planned/test feature of Build 13 and may not yet be enabled. These provisions apply when the contribution functionality is offered and activated.

9. Additional retention and account deletion details

When account deletion is offered in the app, it requires an explicit user confirmation. Subject to applicable law, personal meals, private recipes, plans, profile information and account-linked records are removed; certain shared catalogue entries may be retained only after removal of identifying references. Files held in separate storage and third-party services require their own deletion procedures and verification. The current Build 13 deletion feature is disabled pending isolated test validation.

Deleting a CarbVoice account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Users must cancel through their store before the next renewal.

10. Language and interpretation

CarbVoice provides localised versions of these notices. A local-language version must describe the same rights, obligations, prices and retention limitations as the English master. If a difference or an unclear expression is found, users may contact support@carbvoice.com for clarification; mandatory local consumer and privacy rights continue to apply.
