2. Purpose and limits

What CarbVoice does

CarbVoice is designed to make everyday food and carbohydrate tracking easier, faster and more accessible.

Our features include:

• Carbohydrate and nutritional value calculations.
• Food recognition through voice, photographs, barcode scanning and manual input.
• Personal food diaries and meal history.
• Recipes, meal ideas and nutritional information.
• Saved favourites, personal notes and supported sharing features.
• AI-assisted portion estimation and food analysis.

CarbVoice combines nutritional databases, food information, calculation methods and artificial intelligence.

Important health and safety information

CarbVoice is a general nutrition information tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, prevent, monitor, treat or manage medical conditions.

CarbVoice does not provide medical advice, determine medication requirements or prescribe treatments.

Carbohydrate and other nutritional values are estimates and may differ from actual values due to ingredients, preparation methods, portion sizes, manufacturer changes and incomplete source information.

Never use CarbVoice as the sole basis for calculating insulin doses, adjusting medication or making medical treatment decisions.

Users requiring medically precise nutritional information should verify values with reliable product information and follow guidance from their qualified healthcare professional.

CarbVoice must not be used as a substitute for emergency medical assistance or professional healthcare.

7. Sources and responsibility

Nutritional information sources

CarbVoice uses recognised nutritional information sources, available product data, calculation methods and artificial intelligence.

Sources may include:

• USDA FoodData Central.
• NEVO and other national food composition databases.
• Food manufacturer labels and product information.
• Barcode-related nutritional records.
• Ingredients and quantities provided by users.
• AI-assisted estimates when reliable direct information is unavailable.

Where supported, CarbVoice identifies the nutritional information source for individual ingredients and entries.

Information calculated or estimated using artificial intelligence is identified within the application.

Accuracy and limitations

We aim to provide useful, reliable and transparent nutritional estimates.

However, food products and recipes vary, nutritional databases may contain incomplete information, and AI-generated interpretations may be inaccurate.

Users should verify nutritional information whenever precision is important.

User responsibility

CarbVoice is intended for informational and personal food-tracking purposes.

Users remain responsible for checking information and deciding whether it is appropriate for their individual circumstances.

CarbVoice must not be relied upon as the sole source for medical or medication-related decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Nordic Craftsman is not responsible for losses resulting from inaccurate nutritional estimates, incorrect portion information, misuse of the application or inappropriate reliance on CarbVoice for medical treatment decisions.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or affects mandatory consumer or data protection rights.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections applicable in the user's country of residence.

Disputes are handled in accordance with applicable legislation and relevant consumer protection requirements.
